The latest round of prototype boards have arrived and here’s one of them. The top layer is done with a solder stencil and paste, then parts placed by hand. THe smallest part is 0805 so its not too hard on the eyes. Once the top parts are placed the board goes in the solder oven for about 10 minutes to be reflowed and cool down. After that is done any bridges or loose solder is cleaned up and we start on the back. The back of the board is all hand soldered, there are only a dozen or so components and again the smallest part is an 0805. I’ll take some pics as I assemble this on and post them soon.
